The next job is to complete the inner skin of the cabin roof. It is another plywood and foam sandwich. Each rectangular section is filled with 20mm Airex foam and then a plywood panel is fixed below these to complete the sandwich. Each lower panel covers 2-4 foam panels as dictated by the main roof supports. The foam provides both insulation and structural strength to the roof.
This is a long job and will take several weeks to complete as there are over 100 foam and 40 plywood panels to fix. The foam and plywood panels are epoxied in place to form a sandwich structural panel.
