The front platform fills the gap between bulkheads 1 & 2. Fitting was delayed until after turnover to make access easier while constructing the hulls.
The front platform beam is fitted to bulkhead 1. The support beam is fabricated in two halves, holes are cut on the inner hull, the beams are inserted and then the halves are joined as the same time as the beam ends are fixed to the bulkheads.

The front platform is a plywood sandwich with a 20mm Airex foam core bonded together with epoxy. A front fairing timber is added to the beam and the plywood deck is shaped to match.
The deck is very strong and spans the gap between the new cross beam and the original one at bulkhead 2.
