The front screen supports join the roof supports at a fixed angle to give a flat front screen. The supports join to bulkhead 3. The joints are supported by fillets.
Like the side decks, the roof will be a plywood and foam sandwich. This will provide enough strength and stiffness for the roof to be self supporting without supports inside the cabin.
The cabin roof is glued to the top of the roof supports. The joints between the sheets are supported with additional timber. This creates frames into which the foam will be fixed later.
Only half the roof can be completed at this stage. The port side can only be done once that side deck is completed.
