The chine logs will need planing to the correct angles for the hull sides but I will do this as I fit the plywood hull sections.
The stringers, gunwales and chine logs of both outer hulls and the hull bottoms are complete.

Once all the gunwales and stringers that you can reach from the floor are complete you need a higher working platform.
I am using builder's trestles (also known as bandstands) and scaffold planks. These can be moved around the build as required. The bulkheads are joined by stringers.
Longer lengths are scarfed jointed together. To make the curves smaller timbers are laminated together e.g. two 75x25 are laminated into 75x50. This is a time consuming process. |
