The roof of the cabin is stepped. The lower step will accommodate galley appliances. It will be a foam sandwich construction to make it strong enough to bear the appliance weight. The electrical services are embedded in the foam. The other space above the rest of the cabin will be used for electrical equipment and general storage.
The construction of the cabin is similar to the port side.
The hot water calorifier just fits under the berth. It is a direct, pressurised, stainless steel cylinder heated by twin immersion heaters. Power will come from the solar array on the cabin roof.
